The Old Schoolroom at Moin-a-choire, Bridgend, Isle of Islay, is the perfect place to relax. Renovated to exacting standards this property offers 4 star accommodation for four people.

WINTER WARMER.........
Between November 2008 and mid March 2009 book one week and get the second half price. All heating oil, electricity and a bucket of peat for the fire is included, as is some home baking and local produce. Go on, recharge those batteries before Christmas.......
In summer enjoy a barbeque in the private garden, relax in the comfy sofas, toast your toes by the peat fire in the winter, cook up a storm in the kitchen, or enjoy a long soak after a hard days sightseeing…….the choice is yours.
Winter is starting to show itself, the geese are back in their thousands. The owl can still be seen hunting along the back of The Old Schoolroom, and there have been plenty of buzzards and a hen harrier spotted from the garden over the summer. Deer are being spotted in the garden and surrounds, much to the kids excitement (if Santa needs any recruits for the Islay run on Christmas Eve we know where he can find them - right here!)
It is still possible to see the bats on the crisp and clear nights.
Birdwatch and naturespot from the kitchen window - look out for the wrens which dart about the stonework. Be entertained by our chickens.
Views are down the glen to the 'burn (the river Sorn) and across open farmland.
The Old Schoolroom is centrally located and ideal for exploring Islay, Jura and Colonsay.
